E.T. The Extra-Terrestrial is a 1982 adventure video game developed and published by Atari, based on the movie. The adventure takes place on several screens with pits scattered about. The object of the game is to find pieces of E.T.’s phone. Once all pieces are found, E.T. calls home and the spaceship arrives to pick him up.
