Earthworm Jim – Menace 2 the Galaxy (Gameboy Color) game description
Evil Jim has stolen an interdimensional teleporter and is causing a rampage through the galaxy, and Earthworm Jim must embark on yet another adventure to stop his evil twin. The game involves the player directing Jim through the levels in order to do so. The game plays as a 2D sidescrolling platformer with elements of a run and gun, similar to how the original Earthworm Jim and Earthworm Jim 2 played.
However, the game has been greatly simplified, the game is much more centralized towards exploring levels to collect items, rather than the constantly changing gimmicks present in the original two games. Levels typically involve goals such as collecting 100 or more coins to progress through levels, and if the player leads Jim to take too much damage, the player must start the level over again, with zero items collected.
Earthworm Jim is up against 12 levels of bad guys as he explores his bedroom. It’s far from the adventures against Psy-Crow, but there are plenty of evil beings lying uner the bed that are just as dangerous.
It’s an all new adventure, using similar elements to the previous 2 Earthworm Jim platform games on the SNES. Many of his zany attacks are here with a few added extras, plus the return of Professor Monkey-for-a-Head.
